Down by the Riverside

Hello. Welcome back to my blog. Today, was very busy. first, I made up for a piano lesson. And guess what? I graduated from my old book, to my new book! My new piano book is fantastic! that means, I LOVE IT!  Well, after my piano lesson, I went back home, of course, played a little bit, then I took a perfect ride to Jumpin' Jakes.  Jumpin' Jakes is a fun kind of place with bouncy rides and stuff like that.  They also had a kids section so Hannah could play too!  Then, I went straight to DI.  DI stands for Destination Imagination.  What you do in DI is every year there is a different challenge.  This year it's you have to find a hidden place!  Then, after DI, I went home, had some dinner and then, guess what?  That's what turned it into "Down by the Riverside".  Here's what happened:  down by the river, I met my friends Lydia, Mairead, Catriona, Angie and Kate.  And then Santa Claus came down the street on a boat with wheels.  Then he said, "Ho,ho,ho" and gave everybody candy canes!  We licked and licked and licked until there was nothing left.  Well, that was my day.  I hope everybody enjoyed reading about it.

Party at the cousins house!

Today was so cool! I had such a good time! well to start off, I went to my cousins house again! And had a great time! My cousin Carolyn's birthday party was today! Oh, and how we partied! First, we played... well... I don't remember exactly, BUT! after we played the game that I don't remember, (blush) we played games on the little TV that my cousin Carolyn has. Then, we played on the big TV that my cousin Carolyn has and we played the game 'Wii Sports' and that was so fun; you can make your own character! All we basically played was bowling on the Wii.  Then I had to leave and I was so sad. I said 'goodbye' to everybody and then went home.  

Happy Thanksgiving days!

I'm back! and my Thanksgiving was sooooooooooo fun! But before I talk about that, I would like to talk about the day before Thanksgiving. Well, the day before Thanksgiving, I definitely woke up. So, I woke up, got dressed, and ate my breakfast. Then, before I knew it, my cousins were at my house to pick me up for a sleep over! And to make it even better, I would go to the Thanksgiving day parade! So I went down to my cousins house, and played a little bit with my cousins, Carolyn and Johnny. Then, we went to Mc Donald's. And had lots and lots and lots of fun! Then, we drove back to my cousins house, and went to bed.  We woke up in the morning at 5 AM.  We went to the Thanksgiving Day Parade.  It was so cool!   My favorite part was the Sesame Street float.  Then, we went back to my cousins' house and changed for a Thanksgiving Day party at my grandma and grandpa's house.  We had so much fun there.  It was the best 2 days of my life.      

Party,Party,Party!

Hello.  Today I am going to my friend Genna's birthday party.  It's at Jumpin' Jakes.  That's a new place in Fishkill and it's really fun.  I've been at another birthday there once.  I've been there for fun once and there was a fundraiser for my school and I went then.  We're also going to move in a month and then after we move, we're going to have Mommy's party, Hannah's party, and a new house party.  I think it's going to be very fun.  And, last week I went to Theo's (that's my friend) 7th birthday party.  It was a letterboxing party.  In case you didn't know, letterboxing is when you hike to the top of a mountain and find a stamp book and stamp your name in it but Theo's party was a little different.  The same day I went to Jack's party.  His Dad's a friend of my Dad, so we were invited.  It was at the children's museum in Poughkeepsie.  When we were trick or treating, I went to all the houses on Parrott Street.  I also had a party at Stefan's house (he's my friend too).  Then we went home and watched "Nightmare before Christmas".  We visited Jeffrey to see his new babies and new house and play with his son Alex.  And guess what?  Mommy and Jeffrey were in the "Christmas Spectacular" together!  How about that?!  I also went to the "Christmas Spectacular" with my cousin Carolyn, Grandma and Grandpa.  The first part was 3-D.  That was my favorite. Spooky Saturday

I'm sorry that I haven't blogged in 2 months.  I didn't blog because I was very busy with my 2nd grade schedule.  Well, I would like to talk about my very spooky Saturday.  First,  I got in my spooky devil costume. ( I'm going to wear that for Halloween too.)  So, I drove to the library.  They were having a party there.  So, when I got to the party, I sat in the car and waited for my best friend Lydia to get there.  After she got there, I was overjoyed.  First, we had a candy hunt.  There was candy spread all over the lawn.  Me and Lydia got around 10 pieces each.  After that,  Lydia had to go and I was very upset that she had to go to her tennis lesson.  When she was gone, me and Hannah went in tunnels over by the reading garden in the library.  (They just put that in.)  After,  I did some duck picking up with letters on the bottom and I got a prize.  The prize was a big sheriff badge.  Then we went home and I got all that scary makeup off.  Then, my fish needed a new tank, rocks and plants.  So me and Mom went to the pet store.  We bought all this wonderful stuff for my fish.  A new tank too!  Well, Daddy bought that.  So, that's really all I want to say.  The pictures are of me, Hannah and Lydia and Hannah looking for a duck.

Today and yesterday

I would like to talk about today and yesterday.  Well, today I brought in my Annie costume.  now you're probably wondering why I said "Annie"?  Well, you'll learn about that in yesterday.  After I finished my camp, I got home, I ate dinner, I had my bubblegum lollipop.  Finally, I went to the pool for 35 minutes.  Then we went back home and got ready for bed.  This didn't happen yet but it's going to - I'm going to watch the second to last "So you think you can Dance" and tomorrow I'm going to watch the big season finale.  Tonight I'm only gonna see 30 minutes of it.  But for the big season finale I'm gonna see all of it.  OK, now let's talk about yesterday. Well, yesterday, we got parts for our summer camp show and it wasn't "Snow White".  it's a new show that I'm working on and I only have 2 lines and I said "Annie" before because that's my part.  It's a little girl that lived 100 years ago.  Then I had my private piano lesson.  We had it a little late because of camp.  OK, that's all I really, really, really want to say.  Bye.

Manitoga

Today I had my first day of camp.  The Camp was called Manitoga.  It was very,very,very,very fun.  I got to like some of the boys and girls there.  I also got a little cut on my ear and my ear was bleeding very badly but it healed.  A little bit later, we went to catch a lot of frogs. We caught probably 10 or 11.  we caught a crawfish and watergliders too.  It was fabulistic!  Then, we packed up and we went home but before that we had lunch and snack and we did a game of baseball.  I was the outfielder(which means caught all the hit balls.)  Then, I went home and we ate dinner, I had my pudding, I played a little bit of Spongebob Squarepants video games.   Then, we went down to the Hudson River.  Then, when we came back while Hannah was taking her bath, I played piano.  I used to learn do re mi fa sol but now I have to learn C D E F G.  Then I played more of Spongebob Squarepants and Mommy played the last game with me and that's all I did today.

Trip to Rye Playland

Hello friends and family!  I'm sorry that I missed a lot of days.  I can't remember everything possibly that I did.  So I will talk about today and yesterday.  Well, yesterday in the afternoon I went to my swimming pool with Mommy, Hannah and, of course, me.  After, we took our bathing suits off, put our regular clothes on and went to Rye Playland.  First ride I went on was the Dragon Coaster - a hug big white roller coaster that was built a long,long time ago.  It looks like it's going to fall apart.  And you go through a big dragon mouth.  Then, I went on the catch a wave ride.  On that ride, there's a line of seats, they put a harness on you, you stay straight but go in a circle but it does NOT go upside down.  Then we waited on a big line to go on the log flume but just when we got there, the power ran out!  The logs stopped going and all the logs started bumping together, so we did not go on that ride.  PS, the line was 30 minutes long.  Then, we went back to the kiddie rides.  Michael's dad and Michael took me on the big pirate ship.  It went so high that it reached the tallest tree.  It makes your belly turn inside out!  Then, we tried the log flume again.  We looked up and logs with people were coming down.   So we went on the line again and we got in a log!  That ride was so fun - we got totally soaked!!  Then, we went back to the kiddie rides again.  There, I found my cousins and we didn't even invite them!  I went on the American Jumping Bean with Johhny then, finally I went on the kiddie roller coaster (so little and not as much fun as the big one) and at 9:30, I went home.  Today,  I had a playdate with my best friend Caleb and my Grandpa and Grandma came over.  So, that's it for today and yesterday.

At the Pfortes

Today I ate breakfast then I got dressed and after I got dressed, I went straight to ...THE PFORTES!!!  There I went swimming and had my favorite kind of noodles for lunch.  I came out of the pool and got ice pops and cookies.  Me and my cousin Carolyn went into her room.  My cousins names are Bryan, Carolyn and the littlest one, Johnny.  I had a great day at the Pfortes and I hope you enjoyed what I wrote.  So, goodbye for now.

Hello People!

Hello friends that are reading my blog. I would like you to know what we did today.  First, in the morning, we walked my Dad to the train station.  Well, I didn't walk, I rode on my scooter.  After,  Me , Mommy and Hannah, my little sistah, went by the river but then on the way home, something weird happened to my stomach and I could barely walk.  I read a book called "Danny and the Dinosaur" and added it to my summer reading list from Haldane.  Principal Davis assigned it to me.  After, we went shopping at the bagel store and Shop-Rite.  I had half of an egg bagel and 1/4 of a french toast bagel.  Then, we went to lovely old Splashdown.  I went on the Pirate's Plunge, the wave pool, the lazy river and watched as people went down the half pipe.  The half pipe is another ride at Splashdown.  Then I went home, we had dinner and I had a banana milkshake.  So, So Long!

This weekend's news

Hello friends and family!  I know I saw some of you at my latest thing to do: Carm's party.  I told a lot of you I would blog.  I didn't have a chance because I stayed up late AGAIN watching "The Incredibles" movie and have I explained, I stayed up the other night watching a polar bear and walrus movie.  It was called "Arctic Tale".  So, I didn't get to blog then.  So let's get to what happened on the days I missed.  

Now, for starters, I had the most biggest, challengiest performance I ever did.  It was called "Snow White and the seven Dwarves" but I like to call it just plain old "Snow White".  The first show was funny, the second one was a little   bit   less  funny.  In the first performance, there was a lot of funny stuff.  Now, the funny stuff was: 1.  I had to throw out a pompom ball because they forgot it and the pompom ball is supposed to be a poisoned apple.  It looked like a flying red apple coming out of the set- now that's what it looked like.  2. And this is the last.  There was a lot of funny lines and funny comments.  And then we went out for ice cream.  Ta da!

Now as I was talking about in the beginning, about Carm's party.  Well I went to Carm's party and it was very fun.  It had 2 HUGE pinatas and I got maybe 15,000 loads of candy.  It was amazingly awesomely awesome.  After, I went home and I watched the "Incredibles" movie.  I loved,loved,loved it!  It was fabulistic.

Now today....we drove my daddy dad daddy to work.  We did some shopping at Adam's shopping place.  That's a store.  Really it's just called Adam's.  ok.  After, we drove the long way home and we played school but before that we played brick by brick and had lunch.  I figured out a brick by brick puzzle ALL BY MYSELF!!!!   Mommy came down and said Hannah made peepee on the potty.  So, since she made peepee on the potty and I figured out the brick by brick puzzle, we both got delicious, fabulistic COOKIES!!  Then we all scooted down on my scooter, to the Tots Park.  Then we went to our local library and there they had a fun bug exhibit where I made mucous and created my own personal bug.  And that was all for today.

So that was all exactly I really wanted to say.

Show time!

Hello.  I would like to tell you about my show.  Today was the grand opening for campers at Philipstown Recreation.  Tomorrow is my big show.  You are invited.  $5 per ticket.  It is at 2 o'clock.  Mommy will not be there because she sees the 1 o'clock show.  You cannot see the 1 o'clock show because it is sold out.  If you do come, I hope you enjoy it!  Mommy will probably tape a video of it and next time you see me, you can see it.  The show is about 30 or 35 minutes long.  35 is on the safe side.   Today was my last day of summer camp.  I did fuse beads but I had to dump it because I ran out of time.  After, me and Hannah went to the library and it was fun.  We hid in little cramped spots especially inside a cabinet.  Hannah went inside the cabinet and then Mommy closed the door and you would not even know that she was in there!  It was very funny.  I cracked up.  After, me AND Hannah went in the drawer under the train set but we did not get hit by any trains.  After, I went back to my house and watched on TV: Time Warp Trio, Drake and Josh, Spongebob Squarepants,  Back at the Barnyard, The Mighty Bee and Adventure Camp.  That's all I want to say.

Pizza day

Well, today was a nice day.  I had my costume rehearsal today.  I have a jagged suit and a brown in one part and a purple in another part cape.  The Queen has a black dress with also a cape that has brown in one part and purple in another part.  After, i rode my scooter around town.  We parked it at the pizza place and had pizza.  It was absolutely fun.  I want to do it again tomorrow.

Splash Down Fun!

Hello friends and family, family and friends!  I would like to talk about the 3 days that happened to me.  Since I forgot about the 2 days that happened before, I will talk about those.  Well, on the 4th of July, I went to papa Walt's - he's one of my best grandparents ever - and we had daddy's birthday party WITH barbeque.  It was also my lovely Aunt Chris' party too.  After that, me and Daddy saw fountain fireworks, chandelier fireworks and boomakavoom fireworks.  You pronounce it boom cab oom fireworks.

  On July 6th, we went down to the river to listen to wonderful music, we had a wonderful, wonderful picnic and I played with my bestest, bestest friends.  And after, I watched the movie "The Princess Bride".  So that's what I did that day. 

Yesterday, I went to my Snow White rehearsal, then I went to summer camp and I didn't really like it.  After, my wonderful Grandma and Grandpa came over to come to my last piano practice.  There I got 2 Starbursts and a big fat juicy grape bubble blow pop! It was dowashus.

And today I had the most beautifulliest day ever.  First, I had my play rehearsal and I painted the set.  After camp was a lot better today.  Then, my Mom surprised me with the most delightful surprise...GOING TO SPLASHDOWN!!!  There we didn't even plan it but we met my friend Cate Kanlong.  She's nice.  We went on about every ride.  It was beautiful.

And those were my days of beautiful, delightful things.

Grandma and Grandpa

Hello friends and family!  I hope you enjoy what I did today.  First, I went to my Snow White rehearsal.  It was enjoyable.  I liked it very much.  The director told me that I was the best in the rehearsal.  She said I was organized, I knew when my lines were coming up and I came up whenever it was my turn.  After that,  I went to the fabulistic Grandma and Grandpa's house.  There we baked cookies, had lunch and dinner and played in the toy car that really does move that Grandma bought me and Hannah.  I very much enjoyed it.  I think I had the most enjoyable day of the month.  Well, maybe... let me think about that.  So, as I was saying, Grandma and Grandpa are, I think, the nicest people I know.  They definitely spoil me rotten.

Practicing

Today was one of the best days of my life.  We did lots and lots of play practicing.  I practiced being my parts- King and the bird.  I hope I will have a really fun time on the show.  I hope some of you can come.  After I did play rehearsal, I went to the lake with my best friend Michael.  At the lake, we built molded sand rocks and we played and played and played in the lake.  And after, we went home, had a wonderful time eating our dinner and that was my fun, fun day.  I want to talk a little more about the lake.  Now, even though I knew how to make sand rocks, Michael told me how to make them because as I told you, Michael loves automatics and loves to know how they work.  So that was a very fun time splisha splish splashing in the water.  So I hope you enjoyed this wonderful day.

Getting parts

Hello.  I would like to tell you about my amazing part in the show "Snow White".  I am, by any chance, the King who is the Evil Queen's husband and Snow White's Dad.  I am also a bird that lives in the forest who is friend's with a character we made up named Elvis the elf.  Also, I went to the library and we went outside and talked about how trees were made.  After that, we talked about soil and roots.  FINALLY, WE MADE THE BUTTERFLY GARDEN!!!  So, Mommy and me are together at 8:15 and this Riley signing off.

New Teachers!!!

Hello.  As I was talking about, I'm having a lot of fun this summer but the best absolutely charming thing that's happening to me right now is NEW TEACHERS!!!!!!  Well, my new teacher is Mrs. Cretera.  I'm in 2nd grade now.  The 3rd graders are acting really really weird.  I keep looking at them and making weird faces.  By the way, a lot of this stuff happened on the last day of school except for my teacher stuff.  I got the teacher letter 2 days ago.  I want to mention Mommy found a 200 page chapter book and if I read that 200 page chapter book, I will get a prize.  A very,very good prize.  And, I had a very very fabulistic rehearsal for Snow White.  I want to be the bird that wakes up Snow White.  PS, you know how I said I would write more if I had more stuff on Saturday?  Well, I did and I forgot to write it so I'm going to write it right now.  So the huge news was I WENT ON THE SLIP AND SLIDE!!!!!  At Lydia's house.  Also, I went to the most fabulistic kids museum in the whole entire world.  It was called Kid City and it was probably the best museum I ever went to.  So that's all I really want to mention today.

Today's News

Hello.

Today I want to tell you that me and my Dad are going to go swimming later. So, right now my little sister and Mommy are laying in the bed together rolling like crazy people. I think we're going to have a really, really fun time swimming. This summer we're going to go to Splash Down, the lake, and our swimming pool. Hannah likes to get into mischief.

I would like to talk about my reading skills. #1) I am reading Junie B. Jones. #2) I'm on Chapter Three. #3) I'm having a lot of fun. My new camera isn't working that well; when I press the on button, it won't turn on. I think it needs some recharging. Mom, Dad, and Hannah are all awake. I think we're going to have a fabulous summer! Hannah is potty training. 

I wonder what it will be like in the future. Will cars fly? If you have an answer, just when I see you again, tell me it. Or if you have a blog, write it on your blog. We adopted Hannah in 2007, you can read that in "about me". So that's all I really want to say for today. I might write a little later if something exciting happens.

Welcome to my new blog!

Hello. My name is Riley Jane Bissinger.  I'm with my Mom here.  I'm 7 years old and my family adopted a little sister from China and her name is Hannah.  Caleb, Stefan and Michael are my main boy/friends.  Honor, Grace, Olivia and Lydia are my main girl/friends.  I have many other friends.  So, let's get to what I did today with my bestest friends.  Caleb came with me to his little brother's graduation.  He was graduating preschool.  Me and Caleb found Lilah and Adam and we played with them.  Michael was sitting in the seats with his Mom and Dad.  Let me explain about Michael.  First of all,  he loves to know how to build stuff.  He likes mechanics.  His Mom gave him his own personal camera.  But, he didn't really exactly want to play with the kids.  So, let me get back to what we were playing. We were playing on the monkey bars and on climbable things.  We heard some grownups shouting that it was time for the graduation to start.  I sat in my seat but I couldn't see.  So I stood up and somebody stood up on my seat.  I thought that was a little mean but I didn't say anything.  After the graduation was done, there was a lot of fighting and lying.  I hurt my wrist.  I twisted it and Daddy wrapped it up.  I think daddy's cute. The picture above is from my piano recital.  Caleb, Kimia, Sophia, Carly and I can't remember who else were in my piano class.  I thought piano was a little boring so next year I'm going to have a private teacher.  well, maybe...I'm still thinking about it.   Well, that's all I want to say for today.  So, bye-be.
